Jeana (she/her)--- like Gina-- but more complicated because her mom wanted to make an easy name more difficult to pronounce.
A playwright, educator, producer, born & raised in Staten Island (& forever complaining about it) and currently living in Brooklyn. Co-founder and co-artistic director of Ugly Face Theatre.
Her work has been developed with Clubbed Thumb, The Brick Aux, The Bechdel Group, Quick and Dity, Fresh Ground Pepper, Dixon Place, The Tank, New Perspectives, Access Theatre, Rutgers University, Horse Trade Theatre, and Theatre for a New City. She was a member of Clubbed Thumb's 2021/2022 Early Career Writers' Group and is a New Georges affiliated artist. Her plays include The Possessed Girls of St. Mary's (O'Neill semi-finalist 2024, Playwright's Realm semi-finalist 2022, Space on Ryder Farm finalist) and oh, Honey (site-specific production at the restaurant, Little Egg, Ugly Face Theatre). She currently lectures at Purchase College and the Maggie Flanigan Studio.
